He was born on May 7, 1988 in Charlotte, NC to Jay and Beth Ratcliff.
Jason proudly served his country in the United States Navy and went on to work for HAECO Americas in Greensboro as an Avionics Technician. Jason worked hard to support his family, who he loved. He was always the quiet presence in the room and he enjoyed playing video games. When Jason and Jayne visited Florida, on their first adventure to the beach on Jayne’s birthday, they encountered dolphins. It became a special memory for the two of them. In May this year, they were able to fulfill their dream of “swimming with the dolphins” in the Dominican Republic.
Jason is survived by his wife of 5 years, Jayne Ratcliff; his daughters, Lillian, Aris, and Allison; his parents, Jay and Beth Ratcliff; his sister, Ashley; and many extended family members and friends.
Services for Jason will be Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11am at Palms Robarts Funeral Home; 170 Honore Ave in Sarasota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery.
