We have always enjoyed John and his many accomplishments. John and Jeanette made a lovely couple and complemented each other with stories of their diverse backgrounds and individual talents. During our many winters in Florida we were able to be with them frequently. He had many stories about his early years and his many adventures. John and Jeanette were a delight to spend time with since their marriage in May of 1994. He loved to write, entertain and own many different homes. We will miss him terribly and continue to love and spend time with Jeanette. May John rest in peace in heaven.  Til we meet again, love Maureen and Jeff.

I remember many times (when visiting my mother Armenia/Min, sister to Nana)-- when in Sarasota-- visiting John, Nana and Pauline (!) for midmorning tea. Such goodies to choose from. This was a sacred ceremony to be enjoyed properly with conversation flowing and yummies passing back and forth. Funny tales and commentaries were required here, with no holds barred.  Of course, John held away with at least a few tall tales and jokes, often with a moral twist. Off color tales were encouraged especially of the nicey-nicey variety. So here is a cup of fresh tea (or coffee) raised to the Irish Isle of Man man

My sister Jeanette (Nana) and her then travel partner, John O'Callaghan visited us at our home in Melbourne, Australia in the late 90's. We had a terrific time with them for a week or so as they stayed with us at our home.  John said he felt perfectly comfortable because we owned an English style terrace home reminiscent of those he knew so well in Ireland and England before moving to Florida.  My Australian wife, Anne and I were especially pleased to see that Nana and John were wed a few short years later.  We are now saddened by the families' and Nana's loss of John and will miss him and his infectious humor.
