John “Red” White of Sarasota Florida, formerly and proudly of Dorchester MA, passed away November 18, 2019 at age 89. Loving life-companion of Marie Billups. Husband of the late Elaine Montague White (Lynn, MA). Father of Robyne Ann Walters. Red is the loving son of the late Leo and Vera White of Dorchester and Braintree MA and the beloved brother of the late Lawrence T. White of Milton and the late Lenore Mary Lowell of Sarasota, Fl. Survived by his loving nieces and nephews. Red and his brother Larry owned several area night clubs in Boston MA in the 60’s and 70’s that included the Boston Club on Tremont St which then moved to Commonwealth Ave and became The Garage. Red was a printer by trade and worked many years at the Charles St. Jail as a prison guard. He was a fabulous dancer. He and Marie still enjoyed dancing at The Moose Club in Sarasota, Florida.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave., Bradenton, FL - December 7, 2019 at 2:00pm. All are invited to attend
