Visitation will be held on Monday, June 5 from 5pm-7pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, Florida.
Service will be 10am on Tuesday, June 6 at the Sarasota National Cemetery officiated by Pastor Ron Keenan.

Joe was born on December 3, 1936, in Blackman, Florida, to Grady and Myrtle (Straughn) Baggett. He graduated from Escambia Farms High School in 1954 and joined the United States Air Force. On May 26, 1962, he married Jerry Lacey in Tampa, Florida. After 20 years of faithful military service, Joe retired and enjoyed working as service manager at Sarasota Auto Glass and The Oaks golf course maintenance.
Joe is survived by Jerry, his wife of 55 years, and three daughters: Karene Leworthy, Valerie (Tim) Bell, and Barbara Baggett, as well as grandchildren: Brenton Leworthy, Samantha (Seve) Aguinaga, Joe (Jamie) Hodges, Katie Leworthy, Ronnie Hodges, and Cody (Jenn) Bell. Also survived by his brother, Grady, Jr., and five sisters, Gracie, Dorothy, Elna, Ola, and Rose.
