

Mrs. Cooke was born in Nova Scotia, Canada on September 23, 1938. She graduated from Saint Chretienne Academy and was a professional figure skating coach for many years.
She taught thousands of skaters from around the world, from beginners to national-level competitors. A double gold medalist in both ice dance and free dance, she dedicated her life to excellence in figure skating and athlete development. She was also the co-founder of Cooke’s Skate Supply, which grew into one of the largest retail skating businesses in the country.
She loved skating, dancing, gardening, spending time with her family and loved her poodle “Gigi”.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Willena Lebel and brothers, Doug and Richard MacDonald.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 63 years, Frederick Alan Cooke; children, Christine Bedell her husband Michael and Scott Cooke and his wife Stephanie Mangano-Cooke; grandchildren, Peilan and Julia Bedell and Tristan, Aidan and Sydney Cooke; brother, Ronnie MacDonald and several other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please check back for date and time.
