Mary Anne “Maureen” Durkin, born on September 19, 1942, passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 82. She was a resident of Sarasota, Florida for many years. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant at St Jude Catholic Church in Sarasota where she volunteered to tend the memorial garden for several years. She was born in Spiddal, Co Galway, Ireland and immigrated to the United Stares with her sister Margaret (Peggy). She met and married her husband James “Jim” in New York where they lived until retirement. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews in CT and Ireland as well as cousins in New York and Pensylvania.
