So sorry to hear the news about Nancy.  She was a very good friend of my wife Mary Anne Wong, who also died to the same disease.  I will keep you and you family in my prayers.  Sorry I could not be there today. Gary Wong

I’m so saddened by the news of my dear friend passing,  Nancy was one of my best friends, we spent lots of fun times together at the Beach, Selby Gardens, Antiquing,  Bush Gardens and many, many Lunches with other friends.  I know she is pain free now and looking down from Heaven, for that, I am not so sad😇🙏.

It is with a heavy heart that I’m writing this condolence. Living in the same neighborhood, as Nancy, for only a few years, meeting at social gatherings and seeing each other on casual walks. Always a friendly hello or a passing wave. That was the case until I learned of her fight and the suddenness of her diagnosis. Everything changed and our chats became longer, comforting and above all funny. We laughed , we shared and offered myself as a sounding block to vent. Although she was never angry only mindful of everyone else!
I remember the time we met and she was posing with a new head scarf. How proud she was that it was a new purchase and colorful. As a nurse I asked about her hair growth. Reluctantly, but her own choice, she removed the headpiece. She looked beautiful. We giggled about the lack of style and needing a haircut, she went home and asked her daughter to cut off the dangly bits. From that day on she never covered her head. That’s how I will forever remember her.

Hearing of her passing took the wind out of me, she was always just so sweet. One of my earliest memories was of the “slice of cake” incident back in the mid 90’s. She offered Dave and I cake, I said no thank you, but Dave took a slice, as in he left a slice and took the rest. She just laughed, always took our shenanigans in stride and was never anything but kind. That personality is unmistakable within her children.

I first met Nancy when we were shopping at Publix.  She was wearing a Michigan shirt, and given that we are avid Michigan football fans, we struck up a conversation.  We were so proud of having an RHS football player playing center on Michigan’s team and were surprised to meet his mom!  I also believe she said that in the past, she had attended the church we attend.
Fast forward several years, and I met her again when she was at the neighborhood pool, and I was there with her neighbor.  We saw each other several times, and her neighbor became a common connection.  When Nancy was diagnosed with cancer, we shared our cancer journeys.  I became aware of her strong faith, and we prayed together.  We were more acquaintances than friends, but her neighbor and another common friend who did some caregiving kept each of us apprised of the other’s prayer needs.  Overwhelmingly, she was clear about her greatest desire – that her children would know and worship Jesus as their Savior.  It is a prayer all of us have prayed throughout her journey, and as heaven for her was becoming imminent, my prayer was that she would leave in peace knowing that her prayers were answered, and her children were walking with the Lord.
I will remember Nancy for her grace, her strong faith, and her love for her family – not just in this life, but for the next.  I rejoice with Nancy that she is in the arms of Jesus, worshipping at the throne of the Almighty, and I look forward to seeing her again!

I will always remember Nancy as a follower of God and as a special lady that gave inspiration to all of us at our PLP group. Nancy was a bright light who always had a glow around her even when she was trying to get through her illness. I will miss her, and will hang on to her inspiring and positive attitude. She is with God now in peace. 
To the family please be comforted with happy memories and know your Mom’s spirit and love will always be with you.💜🙏

Dear John, Mary, David, Rachel and families, Our deepest condolences. Your mom was truly a gift from God.  We were so Blessed to have been a part of her life and we are better knowing her. Her strength, love, compassion, optimism, and more importantly, her Faith are just some of the beautiful qualities that will forever live in our hearts. She truly loved and was loved by all. It was so amazing to watch her when she spoke to or of her family...the LOVE. She could not share enough 'I Love You's' or 'kisses' when she spoke on the phone with her family. Nancy and I shared many moments together. Our afternoon tees will always be remembered. And we mustn't forget raising butterflies at tallywood. We would be so excited when we would get a butterfly to lay eggs on our milkweed. Watching them to mature as caterpillars I think they're called Crystal or something like that, and into the most beautiful gift of God the monarch butterfly. To think they were born in our backyard and would make their trip probably to Mexico over the winter. In memory I sent a potted milkweed plants try to go to one of the children or to be planted at her grave site thank you for this privilege to share my thoughts my heart goes out of the family love you all through the wonderful stories that Nancy would tell me much love Jan ❤️

Sweet Nancy was a friend to our group PrayLadyPray and helped all of us grow on our faith journey. She loved to sing and she loved to share. And she will be greatly missed. Our prayers for her family and friends as we celebrate and carry on her legacy of love one another.
