Nelida D. Hernandez, 77, passed away on August 17, 2023. Nelida was born in Cuba on September 6, 1945 to Jose Maria Diaz Baez and Elia Morales Rodriguez. She spent her formal education in Santa Clara, Cuba Secondary School & College.
Nelida immigrated to the United States with nothing yet with a determined attitude and an unwavering work ethic, she achieved the American dream. As a resident of North Port, she not only retired from a state position, but also owned and operated a very successful jewelry business.
A dedicated wife, mother, and friend, Nelida was above all a loving caretaker for the people she sought after.
She was survived by her husband Victor M. Hernandez (deceased) and offspring, Victor Hernandez III and his wife, Shanna Andrews-Hernandez. In addition, Nelida leaves behind her grandchildren, Carley S and Keegan Andrews; great-grandchildren, Tay M Andrews, Korin R Andrews, Aryanna G. Andrews. Last but not least, her siblings Silvia Diaz Morales (deceased) and Nancy D. Morales (deceased).
