Otto C. Tapp, 80, of Sarasota died February 1, 2011. Otto came to Sarasota from Lytle, Texas after retiring from the U.S. Army. He served in Korea and Vietnam and was a Staff Sergeant when he retired. He was a member of the South Sarasota Elks Lodge, the Sarasota V.F.W. and had volunteered for the Honor Guard for the Post, and was also a member of the Camelot East Retirement Community.
Friends may call at the Palms-Robarts Funeral Home Thursday 4 - 6 P.M. Graveside services will be Friday at 1:30 P.M. at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park with full military honors provided by the Sarasota V.F.W. Post 3233.
Survivors include his wife: Carol; one brother: Carl of Atascosa, Tx; three sisters: Eloise Rudd of Austin, MN, Ione Callahan of Albert Lea, MN; Myrna Rebling of Rosemont, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews.
