Paul R. Rostowsky, 81, passed away on September 24, 2022. He was born July 24, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph P. Rostowsky and Clara M. (Weber) Rostowsky. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years Nancy (Koctur) Rostowsky, and his son David (Katherine) Rostowsky of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Jennifer Rostowsky of Brooklyn, NY; Kenneth Rostowsky of Seattle, WA; and his brother Joseph L. Rostowsky of Normal, Illinois. He is also survived by his nephews, a niece, and numerous cousins. Paul is preceded in death by his son Kenneth P. Rostowsky and his parents.
He graduated from St. George High School and De Vry Technical Institute, Chicago, Illinois. Paul was employed for 33 years at Sundstrand Aviation in Rockford, Illinois as an Engineering Technician. He served 7 months active duty in the Army Reserves.
Paul and Nancy retired to Sarasota 26 years ago, and he was involved in the Orchid Society, Butterfly Club, and Computer Club. Served on three HOA boards and as a Treasurer of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul – St. Thomas More Conference. His hobbies included building and flying model airplanes and grinding his own telescope lenses.
A private service and burial will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s honor can be made to St. Vincent De Paul – St Thomas More Church, 2506 Gulf Gate Drive, Sarasota, FL 34231.
