

Richard Thomas Wissing, age 81, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025. Born on May 25, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to William and Edna Wissing, Richard lived a life marked by achievement, curiosity, and devotion to his family.
A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Richard built a distinguished career as President of Oster/Sunbeam International. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, he traveled extensively for both work and pleasure, embracing cultures and experiences around the globe. A voracious reader and lifelong learner, Richard’s love for knowledge was matched only by his enthusiasm for the Green Bay Packers.
Richard was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen. He is survived by his beloved wife Ana Maria; his children Vanessa and William (daughter in law Vivia); his cherished granddaughters Rafa and Pippa; and his sisters Mary Ann and Ellen.
He will be remembered for his intellect, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family. A funeral mass will be held to honor his remarkable life
on Friday, March 14, 2025 starting at 12:00 pm at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3930 17th St, Sarasota, FL 34235.
