Swartz, Robert “Bob” M., 94, of Venice passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He was born on June 20, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Henry and Ida Hoffman Swartz. Bob was a United States Army Veteran , serving in WWII with a rank of Captain and recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of the Jewish Congregation of Venice. Bob and his wife enjoyed traveling together. Survivors include his devoted wife of 60 years, Muriel; sons, Peter Swartz (Brenda) and Roger “Chip” Swartz (Marcia); daughter, Janet Watson (Norman); brother, Daniel Swartz (Naomi); grandchildren, Grace Watson, Nicole Swartz, Benjamin Swartz, Matthew Swartz and Veronica Swartz; great-grandchildren, Xanica Rose and Kiefer Sadosky.
