Robert Charles Uyek, 75, of North Port, FL, formerly of Garrettsville, OH died October 5, 2021.
Schools Robert attended were John Adams in Cleveland, OH and Berean School of Bible, which helped him achieve the status of Certified Minister of the Assembly of God and Outreach Pastor at Praise Assembly of God. He also served in the US Navy.
Robert is survived by Miriam Mathias, his wife of 47 years; children Elizabeth (Philip) Bongiovanni, Joshua (Julia) Uyek, and Steven (Amy) Uyek; sister Patricia J. Uyek and sister-in-law Pat Uyek; grandchildren, Anna, Lillian & Frank Bongiovanni, Gabrielle Sanfilippo, Matthew and Leighanne Dudek, Victoria and Cameron Whiteman.
He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Genevieve (Nowosadzki) Uyek, and brother James M. Uyek.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, in Sarasota. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will take place the following morning at 9:30 am at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd. 72, in Sarasota.
