Robert William Young

Robert attended Hueytown Elementary School and was a graduate of Hueytown High School, Class of 1958. He furthered his education and graduated from Tennessee Temple in 1968 with a Bachelor's of Theology. Robert became a Pastor, retiring after 50 years of service.

Robert had many hobbies and interests. He was an avid reader, coin collector and was even a Real Estate Broker. Robert will be remembered for his sense of humor, his honesty and most of all being the loving and kind hearted gentlemen he was.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jeanie; loving daughters, Tanna Storie (Dwight) and Trina Miller (Duane); sister, Sarah Parnell; cherished grandchildren, Justin (Tara), Caleb (Ariel) and Derek Miller, Kaitlyn and Joshua Storie and great granddaughter, Leighton Miller. He is preceded in death by his siblings, James Young and Charlotte Etheridge.

A Visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 1 PM until the time of Funeral Service at 2 PM, with Bro. Robert Breaker officiating, at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232. Interment will immediately follow in Palms Memorial Park.
