Born on July 25, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, Ron graduated from St. Vitus School and Cathedral Latin High School before faithfully serving his community for 27 years as a Cleveland Police officer.
Ron shared a cherished 62-year marriage with his beloved wife, Zita. Together they raised three children: Ronald Jr. (Bozena), Susan (Michael Cotter), and Amy Young (Todd). He was a proud grandfather to Holly, Heather, and Amanda Young, and Mindy Roberts (Barak). Ron is also survived by his brothers Mike (Carol) and Kenny (Barbara).
Affectionately known as “St. Clair Ron,” he and Zita retired to Florida in 2005. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, devilish grin, bocce prowess, and love of Slovenian polkas.
Committal service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota FL 34232.
