My thoughts are with Karen and your family, Gene. Till we all meet again.

I only met Gene once and was struck by his kindness. Gene opened his home to all his friends, both old and new.
We normally think that we have a whole host of friends, but in reality we have few very genuine friends and a whole host of acquaintances. Gene was indeed a true friend.
He will be missed by many.
Till we meet again my friend but in the meanwhile my thoughts are with his beloved family.

Gene gave his all for the shooters that he inspired and past on to those of us that had to endure his character a great respect for working together and getting the job done right. I gratefully thank Gene and his wife Karen for their friendship and caring about not only themselves but those who put so much into his well meaning of promoting a great sport.
Rest in Peace Gene and you gave more and tolerated more than most can realize.

So glad I was able to come and visit in March, he and I loved those nightly fires!
Dear Karen, my heart is with you in this time of sorrow. I wish I was closer to give you some much needed hugs.

Although I haven't seen much of him in recent years, he will always have a special place in my memories and heart.  He sometimes showed a tough exterior but was a good person at heart.  I enjoyed working with him at Hunsader's.
