

Jahnke Jr., Thomas A. “Taj” age 49. Friday, November 1, 2024. Beloved husband of Randi Lynn Jahnke (nee Leibowitz). Loving brother of Elizabeth Brin (nee Jahnke), son of Sandra Jahnke (nee Scroggin), and late Thomas Arthur Jahnke Sr. Loving brother in law of Joshua Brin, Ally Fortney (nee Leibowitz), and Brian Fortney. Son in law of late Linda Goldis (nee Buch). Nephew of Carol Jahnke (nee Martin), late Richard Jahnke, Judi Krause (nee Scroggin) and Hans Krause. Dear cousin and friend to many.
Taj grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a natural athlete who enjoyed watching sports and playing baseball, basketball, and running track. He attended Kirkwood High School where he excelled on his cross country team. College was spent at Southwest Missouri State University where he enjoyed taking part in his fraternity. Taj always kept St. Louis in his heart and was a huge Cardinals fan. He was also the biggest fan of Brigham Young University. He will also be remembered as being Beastie Boys biggest fan. Taj moved to Florida during the Fall of 2002.
Taj was outgoing with a great sense of humor. He loved his family and friends and took pride in his job at Audi. His unique name resonated throughout the community. He was known for his friendliness, sense of humor, and loyalty and has always had the unique ability to be remembered upon first introduction. He was the hub for many which includes family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. He will be missed by all.
Services: A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 12:00PM-2:00PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A memorial service will occur Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 2:00PM-3:00PM, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A graveside service will occur Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 3:00PM-3:30PM, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232.
Reception: A reception will follow Sunday, November 17, 2024, starting at 3:30/4:00 PM at Sarasota Sahib Shrine Event Center, 600 N. Beneva Rd., Sarasota, FL 34232.
