I knew Tim as Gibby the downstairs neighbor at 1314 Spring Street in Madison.   I feel so blessed our paths crossed in life.  He was taken far too early but lived life to the fullest.  Rest in peace my friend.

I met Tim in 1983 at 1314 Spring Street Madison WI.  His roommate Doug married my roommate Cathy.  I knew Tim by his nickname Gibby.  I'm so happy his family posted the video of Tim's life.  We lost track of each other after graduation and his unexpected death saddens me greatly but I  was able to see his lived a full and happy life.  There are about three people I've met in life that I love spending time with because they make me laugh.  Tim was one if those individuals.  Taken far to soon but he had such an impact on those fortunate enough to cross paths with him.  I'm so lucky to be included in that group.  Tim you brought tremendous happiness into my life.  Thank you and rest in peace.  Love Katy.

Tim worked for me at Cortec, Inc. in the 1980-1990's.  He was a friend and a good employee.  My wife, Pat, and I send along our condolences to all of Tim's family.  RIP, Tim.

Dear Stacy and Lizzie, 

We were so saddened to hear about Tim. Kathy and I have known Tim since we were 14 years old and the three of us have had many great times together, especially as roommates in Madison.  

Tim could make anyone laugh with his incredibly quick wit. I could go on for hours with funny stories and great memories with Tim. However, most importantly, I will always consider Tim a great friend who was there for you whenever you needed it.   

John and Ron, please accept our condolences and prayers. You have a great brother and son.

All the Weber family have cherished memories of Tim.
He had the best sense of humor. We often gathered at WISCONSIN Badger games with our kids and the adults. Tailgating and sharing crazy stories added so much to the experience. Tim and D’Arcy worked together at the racquet club making the job fun. Tim was a student as well.  He started his own business with the assurance he would succeed. . He was a proud father and recognized Lizzy’s potential. Our heart aches at the loss to his family.


Your tribute video was so wonderful to watch.  I didn't know anyone who loved sports more than Tim.

Tim I will always be grateful for your friendship and wit. I enjoyed being your tennis coach and English teacher and I appreciate that, when the tables turned and you read my graduate thesis paper for me, you did so with great skill and patience even though you hated Russian Lit!.

To The Steindorf Family,
I share in your loss because my son, Tom, and I loved Tim.  I remember teaching Tim how to type!  He came often to my house to learn ( that was before the high-tech age).   He and my son had an enduring friendly relationship.  They meant a lot to each other, and stayed in touch with each other until now.  He holds a special place in our hearts, and now Jesus holds Tim in His arms.

Stacy, Lizzie, and family and friends of Tim.  I was so sorry to hear about Tim's passing.  I have many fond memories of Tim from high school.  He was a friend to many.  I remember his positive and competitive ways and especially his humor.  He always knew how to lighten the mood and get everyone laughing.

Dear Stacy and Lizzie - I am just so so sorry to hear this. Tim was such a great person to be around - always upbeat and smiling and cracking a joke. This breaks my heart. Thankfully I know that he is completely healed and in the arms of Jesus right now - his faith was so strong!  But grief for you two is so hard. Grief is the tax on love.  My thoughts are with you ❤️

Doug Gresenz, Jeff Van Straten and I have been talking about Tim and how much we will miss him.  We have hundreds of wonderful,  funny memories of our dear friend and former roommate.   Every time we tell one of them it reminds of 3 more.     He made us laugh, he made us happy,  he was a treasured friend.    May God grant Tim eternal happiness in heaven and surround  Stacy and Lizzy with his love and peace.

Celebrating  the life of my best friend of 41 years.  So many fond memories.....the innumerable laughs at places like Fox Cities Racket Club, Packers / Brewers / Bucks games, rounds of golf together, PGA Championship in Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, Penn  Yan, Key West, New Orleans, surfing in San Diego, horse track in NY, Super Bowl XXXI.  I will always cherish the laughs, but more than anything, what I so loved about Tim was his heart of gold.  He was such a kind and generous soul, who first and foremost walked faithfully with the Lord and so loved his wife and his daughter.  His heart of gold was always on display for and admired by my children.  (See pic)  They love and miss "Stein" already, as do I.  I am truly grateful and blessed to have had the opportunity to call Tim my best friend.
