Anthony Mathis

Anthony Thomas Mathis, 37, passed peacefully on May 2, 2012, in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on May 24, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee, to parents James Mathis and Sandra Ryan. He enjoyed many things such as answering questions, working on computers and cars, and he always made sure to take care of his mother and sisters. He had many loved ones who enjoyed sharing his love of photographs, sense of humor and mischievous ways.

He is succeeded by his mother and stepfather Sandra & Tom Ryan, father and stepmother James & Karen Mathis, sisters Christina Mathis, Mary Mathis and Jennifer Ryan, and Grandmothers Juliet Rossi and Marguerite Mathis, and his nephews Darius Ryan, Marcus Ryan and Brogan Mathis-Pung. He was loved by many more including his Aunt Rita & Uncle Bill Trent, Cousins Bill, John and Daniel Trent, Uncle Samuel Rossi, Uncle Sonny & Aunt Susan Rossi and Cousin Eric Rossi.

He will be greatly missed by all of his loved ones, and we are grateful that he has finally found peace.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Ryan House. Service is scheduled for 2:30pm Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Green Acres Chaple of Light.
