Aurelio Cortese

He was born in Lipari, Italy on April 6th, 1951. Aurelio was married to Marie Cortese on September 27th, 1975 in Utica, New York, and they shared 50 years together.

Aurelio is survived by his wife, Marie Cortese, his children; Nichole Cortese, Jessica Cortese, and Alexander (Anaiz) Cortese, his grandchildren; Jordan Cortese, Taylor Cortese, Chance Horne, Brooklyn Cortese, and Isabella Cortese, his brothers Bruno and Vic Cortese, sisters-in-law Caterina Cortese, Sue Cortese, Marcia Cortese, and Donna Conte, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sisters; Grace Zizzo, Tina Esposito, and Lena Pucinischi, and brothers Phil Cortese and Gaetano Cortese.

Aurelio was a beloved, honest, compassionate, and a kind-hearted man. He loved his grandchildren passionately and cherished spending time with them. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening. Aurelio was also an avid baseball fan, supporting the AZ Dbacks, NY Yankees, and NY Mets.

A funeral service will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, on January 3rd, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
