Barbara L Lummis

She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 17, 1936.

Barbara graduated from Philadelphia College of Bible with a BS in Biblical Studies.

She was married to Bruce Morris Lummis on April 4,1959 at Hadden Heights Baptist Church in Haddon Heights, NJ.

Barbara was a loving and dedicated wife to her husband, Bruce, for 62 years.

Barbara along with Bruce, built their lives on God’s firm foundation. In the good and the bad times, there was never a doubt where their Hope came from.

Barbara led and taught Sunday School, Child Evangelism Fellowship-Good News Clubs, and weekly Bible studies, including being a Precept Ministries Instructor, for over 40 years.

Barbara was very creative and loved to sew, quilt, embroider, and make handmade cards. She made over 1000 quilts and purses, spending time picking out the perfect designs specific to the recipient. She was a member of the Agave Quilters Guild, helping children in need.

Barbara and Bruce felt honored to support numerous Christian mission organizations always giving above and beyond.

Barbara loved to take care of people and made them feel welcome, no matter the circumstance. Everyone was welcome. She set a legacy of love for years to come.

Barbara loved and is survived by her three daughters along with her ten grandchildren and her four great grandchildren.

Her arms were always open to each one of them, giving love and encouragement on a daily basis.
