Beverly "Bev" Jeanne Bowes

Beverly was born in Rock Island, Illinois to Ruth and Arthur Collins. She grew up in Rock Island and she attended Rock Island High School where she was a cheerleader. It was there that she met and eventually married the "Love Of Her Life", Willard (Bill) Bowes in 1957. They were married 60 years prior to his passing in 2017.

During their 60 years together, they raised 4 children & enjoyed spending family time together. They enjoyed bowling leagues, card clubs, golfing and dancing. They were also members of the Elks Lodge.

Beverly loved to bake and coordinate parties for her friends. After being widowed, she joined a grief group where she met a wonderful group of people who she loved and considered her extended family.

Beverly always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. (She never met a Stranger).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard Bowes, mother Ruth Collins, father Arthur Collins and sister Nancy Knaack.

Beverly is survived by four children and their spouses: Debra Matthews (Robert), Brenda Cabonce (Roger), Brian Bowes (Martha) and Rhonda Sheehan (Patrick).

Nine grandchildren: Daniel, Ryan, Brandon, Sara, Jesse, Kyle, Sean, Ashley and Cody

Seven great grandchildren: Rylee, Frankie, David, Aliyana, Augustus, Emma, Alexander

Brother: Jim Collins

Beverly was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and Friend. She will be dearly missed by all.
