IN THE CARE OF
Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery
Charlotte (Zeiner) Broeder, 99, of Phoenix, AZ passed away June 7, 2021. She was born in Hungary on August 7, 1921 and grew up in Chicago, IL. She was married to Bernarr Broeder on August 31, 1946 and they shared over 70 years of being happily married and wonderfully blessed.
Charlotte had a career with Mountain Bell Telephone Co. for more than 30 years, where she worked as a Supervisor and Manager of the Accounting Division. She was a member, for over 65 years, of the First Baptist Church of Scottsdale. Charlotte was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers Service Organization and presided as President for several years. She was very proud of the many accomplishments of this special group, such as Beep Baseball for the blind and developing and providing hearing tests for infants.
She loved her family and the many activities they enjoyed together: bowling, badminton, picnics, camping, going to the beach and traveling. She especially loved taking her children and grandchildren to Disneyland. Then Charlotte became a grandmother and her heart suddenly doubled in size. Charlotte and Barney took them everywhere, from the nicest of restaurants to driving across the U.S.A. But one thing she really shared with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was her love for baseball and attending Diamondbacks games whenever possible. Charlotte was preceded in death by her son Arthur R. Broeder, parents Helen and Jacob Zeiner, and her husband Bernarr. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Broeder Riley (Troy Riley); granddaughters Rachel Riley and Charisse Riley Soderman (Rick Soderman); and great-grandsons Zachary and Joshua. Charlotte is placed to rest with her beloved husband, Barney at Green Acres Cemetery (401 N Hayden Rd Scottsdale, AZ).
