

On October 20,2022, Cheryl Lynn Phillips, born September 12, 1952, beloved wife and mother of three, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away while on a cruise of the Mediterranean, at the young age of 70.
Cheryl’s love of family and life was evident in everything she did. She leaves behind her high school sweetheart, Roger Phillips. They dated for 4 years and have been married for 50, and had a love that their children have dreamt of having. Also left behind are her daughter, Amy Phillips (engaged to David Peacock), twin sons Kevin and Kyle (wife Angela) and grandchildren Haley, Makayla, Madison, Jack, Tyler, Lexi, her brother Lester Cox (Patricia) and sister, Judy Cox Wart (James). Her family misses her deeply and will never stop loving her.
Cheryl had many accomplishments throughout her life. She completed nursing school while working full time and raising three young children. She completed a Bachelor's Degree from University of St Francis in Healthcare Management. She was a Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse and served on many boards and committees throughout her career. She was considered a mentor by many, having worked as a manager for the second half of her nursing career.
Cheryl was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and moved to Arizona at the age of 11. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester Francis Cox and Anna Ray Cox, and her sister Betty Kathleen Cox Nelson.
Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N Hayden Rd Scottsdale, AZ 85257 on Saturday November 12, 2022, at 11am.
