Dan Marcus Daniels

A native of Arizona, Dan was born in Safford and raised in Duncan before moving to Tempe where he graduated from Tempe High School. He had a distinguished career with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, retiring as Captain. Dan loved to reminisce about his early years as a state trooper, and was proud of the time he served in law enforcement.

Married to his beloved wife Julie for 39 years, their marriage was a testament to their love for each other, navigating life’s joys and challenges hand-in-hand, always finding strength and solace in each other’s presence.

Dan’s infectious smile was always on display when surrounded by family. Being a father, grandfather and great-grandfather brought him immense joy. “Papa” loved with all his heart and that love lives on in them all.

Remaining to cherish Dan’s memory are his wife, Julie Ruggiero Daniels; son, Marc Daniels (Becky); daughters Kathy Daniels and Julie Parker; stepdaughter Linda Klosterman (John); grandchildren Ashley Barrett (Dave), Amy Valenzuela (Derek), Leslie Daniels, Christopher Parker, and Kevin Parker (Tanna); and great-grandchildren Lucas, Audrey, Marcus, Beckam, Ambree, Rylan and Logan.

A funeral service will be held on July 18, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ, 85257. A graveside service will follow on the same day at 11:00 am.
