

Dorothy Helen Dyer of Scottsdale AZ, 84, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 21, 1927 in Tucson AZ and was proud to be a lifelong Arizonan. Dorothy leaves behind two daughters, Marla Dyer of Gilbert, AZ and Linda Kluck, of Austin TX and a beloved granddaughter, Amanda Kluck. She is also survived by her brother James Pierce, his wife Barbara, nieces, nephews and other family members. Dorothy had a full career and retired from Mt. Bell telephone company, however she truly came to shine through her rich and varied community volunteer work. She gave her time and caring to Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, she delivered Meals on Wheels, and she served as a voter registrar and polling official for many years. In keeping with her faith, Dorothy gave herself freely and fully in service to her faith community, serving in every way needed, including multiple terms as a church deacon. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 7 at 1:00 pm at Scottsdale Presbyterian Church, 3421 N Hayden Road in Scottsdale. in lieu of flowers, donations to Scottsdale Presbyterian Church are appreciated. www.greenacresmortuary.net
