Evelyn was born in Keokuk, Iowa on January 3, 1933. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education in Kirksville, Missouri and was the highest-ranking student in her graduating class. She also received a Certificate in Physical Therapy from the State University of Iowa. She taught for a number of years in Missouri, Iowa and Arizona, while raising her daughter, Patricia Jean Frakes, who was the joy of her life. She moved to Arizona after marrying Charles F Jenkins in 1988 and has lived in Scottsdale since.
Evelyn had a passion for learning and enjoyed Spanish classes to prepare for frequent trips to Mexico. She enjoyed having pets, loved to travel and appreciated music.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Charles F Jenkins, who died January 16, 2016, and her daughter, Patricia Jean Frakes, who died July 13, 1986.
