Gretta Curtis Waldrom, 90, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on September 6, 2025. She was born on January 11, 1935 in Safford, AZ. Gretta graduated from Safford High School. She married William Merrill Waldrom on December 22, 1952 in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
Gretta was blessed to be a homemaker, caring for her children and family. She also owned a Diet Center franchise and worked at See's Candy.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Because of her conviction and faith in Jesus Christ, she raised her children in the Church and taught them important eternal principles and values. As a family they would enjoy swimming in the backyard, family BBQs in the desert, camping trips to national parks and trips to California beaches and Disneyland.
Gretta was preceded in death by her two daughters Terri Lynn Vail and Marilyn Waldrom. She is survived by her children: William X Waldrom, Geoffery Morgan Waldrom, Todd Curtis Waldrom and Jason Waldrom. Grandchildren; Adam Vail, Michael Vail, Stephanie Lee Moses, William Nicholas Waldrom, Cady Brooke Jardine, Lauren Elisabeth Willis, Emily Marilyn McKellar, Alison Natalie Van De Graaff and Morgan Zoe Engebretsen, her 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 3010 E. Thunderbird Road, Phoenix, Arizona, 85032, on September 19, 2025, starting at 10:00 am.
The final resting place will be Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale.
