

John Witt of Phoenix passed away Wednesday at the age of 61. John was born in Montana and moved to Arizona 27 years ago. John came to the Valley in 1986 and started and successfully grew what would become one of the largest abatement companies in Phoenix. In the early nineties he made downtown the base of his operations and was responsible for the removal, cleanup and assemblage of the former salvage yards in downtown, forever changing its appearance. A lifetime dreamer, John will forever be remembered for his contributions and by the lives he touched and forever changed. Known to many for his unshakable kindness and generosity, John lost his battle with cancer always showing a smile and reassurance to his loved ones.
He is survived by his loving mother Janice of Billings, Montana; brother Ken Witt (Debbie) of Billings, Montana; his treasured sons, Travis, Turner, and Cade of Phoenix, Arizona; his brothers Joe Witt of Houston, Texas, and David Witt of Lewiston, Montana; and his sisters, Barbara Jones of Springfield, MO, Shirley Hansen, Rose Witt, Patricia Schmidt, & Debbie Witt of Billings MT. Preceded in death by his father Edward Witt, brother William "Billy" Witt and his Beautiful & Loving daughter, Jennifer "Jenny" Witt.
Memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ.
