Kay Wilkinson Fitting

Kay, was a strong, amazing lady with a fun spirit, who led a full life that ended on Sept 3, 2023. The daughter of a steelworker, she was born in Wellsburg, West Virginia, married and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where she lived for 59 years.

She had an adventurous spirit, ran 10K’s, was a private pilot, owned and flew a Cessna 152, rode motorcycles, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, worked as an administrative assistant, retired from Motorola and worked as an elementary school teacher. She hiked the Grand Canyon multiple times and defeated alcoholism, became a CASA volunteer and a co-founder of the Scottsdale, Arizona chapter of the Red Hat Society. She performed as a tap dancer, went skydiving, rafting down the Colorado River, and raised children. She was a loving mother and is survived by a son Robert Fitting, daughter Brenda Gibbs, grandchildren Lindsay Galloway and Ryan Fitting, two great grandchildren Ava and Landon Galloway, and sister Carol Figel. We love and sadly miss her. Her love smiles on us all.
