

Lillian was born in Shannon, Mississippi, on August 20, 1933, to her parents, William Henry Price and Walter Queen Stith Price. She was the fourth of seven children.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Morning Star Presbyterian Church in Shannon, Mississippi. The church was founded by her grandparents, Walter and Queen Stith.
Lillian attended TCI School, a boarding school in Shannon. Her grandparents also founded the school.
She graduated from Okolona Jr. College in Okolona, Mississippi in 1951.
Lillian met Harvey C. Jordon in her early childhood. They started dating in high school and later got married in August 1951. To this union, six children were born.
In 1958 the family moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where she joined Strangers Rest Baptist Church. She became active in many Ministries including; Mission Ministry, Sunday School, Choir, and Women’s Ministry.
Lillian was Vice President of Jordon Construction Company Inc., owned by her husband. She attended Kansas City, Kansas Vocational Jr. College, taking a course in Business Administration.
In 1977, Lillian, with her husband and family, moved to Tucson, AZ. They later relocated to Phoenix, AZ where she joined First Institutional Baptist Church.
She became actively involved in the Aquila Priscilla Mission Circle, FIBC Historical Society, Christian Education Ministry, Shoe Box Ministry and the Marriage Ministry. She was a Board Member of and one of the Founding Members of FIBC Family Service. She also served as a Pastors’ Aid, Choir Member and Sunday School Teacher. She was very active in the Parent Teachers Association, Girl Scouts and United Way. She is a lifetime member of the PTA.
Lillian loved people. She was called Mother by many young people. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, always inviting people over for dinner, holidays, or just to visit. She loved her family very much. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and cousin.
Everything about her was Christlike. She loved serving people and offering her help wherever she saw a need. She loved the Lord and loved to spend time with Him. Her home was always a place of welcoming family and friends. She always had words of encouragement for everyone, especially young people.
Romans 8:28 reads, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” This was one of Lillian’s favorite verses. And her favorite saying was: “I’m working on the building”.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Walter Queen Price; three brothers, Toussaint Price; William H. Price Jr.; VanHorne N. Price; one sister Rosemary Price Jackson and a granddaughter Kathleen J. Griffin.
Lillian leaves to cherish her memory a loving family: her devoted husband, Harvey Clifton Jordon, Sr. of Mesa, Arizona; five daughters, Wanda Faye Jordon of Tempe, Arizona; Shelia Dian (Thomas) Jewell of Chandler, Arizona; Margaret Ann (David) Washington of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; Pamela Queen Jordon Woodard of Alameda, California; Felicia Janet (Robert) Brown of Lakewood, California; her son, Harvey Clifton. Jordon, Jr. of Miami, Florida; Karen (Burt) Berkhalter of Mesa, Arizona; 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Two sisters, Ophelia Doris Price and Queen Annis Tripp of Chicago, Illinois; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives, friends, and extended family.
A visitation for Lillian will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at First Institutional Baptist Church, 1141 E Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ 85034, with a graveside service to follow from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
