
Passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by friends and family on Monday, April 15, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona at the tender age of 53. She was born in Kingdom of Tonga on March 4, 1971. The youngest child to her late parents Mosese Vaka and Maikale Anau.
Vaimoana is survived by her husband Kilioni Tangulu, her children Mosese Halafihi, Topui Kolotau, Halahuni Folauhola, Ana Karen, Siale Latu, Maikale Elena & Siokivaha Angel. Her siblings Taufatoutai Anau, Sifoni To'oa, Toakase Kasa Taufa, the late Salesi Anau, Melisa Ika, Salote Tenifa, Olivia Morgan, Michael To'oa and Malia Tenifa, grandchildren and extended loving family from the villages of Nomuka, Mango and Foa, Ha'apai, Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
Vaimoana moved from Nomuka, Ha'apai Tonga to Salt Lake City Utah in 1970 moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1986 where she resided for the past 38yrs. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and was an active member in multitudes of their ministries. She leaves behind the Lions of Judah ministry which she founded and established.
Vaimoana was a singer from the “Sound of Victory” gospel band which was established in the early 1990’s. They toured the United States as well as Tonga where she had the privilege to have an audience with 2 reigning Kings and Queens of Tonga.
Vaimoana was a mighty prayer warrior, a true servant of God. Her family and friends will dearly miss her.
Funeral Services will occur Friday, May 3, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church located at 3104 W. Glendale Ave. Phoenix, AZ. and Graveside service to follow at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, AZ
