Marie A. Richardson

Marie attended and graduated with the class of 1946 from Phoenix Union High School. She dedicated many years of her life as a teacher's aide for the Coolidge School District before retiring.

In 1948, Marie married her beloved husband, Nicholas C. Richardson Sr., at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Together, they raised six children. Marie is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Nicholas C. Richardson Sr, and her son, Nicholas Richardson Jr. She is survived by her daughters: Jane Schindler (David), Nancy Moore, Gail Duer (Larry), Patricia Durbin, and Joan Heath (Andrew). Marie's legacy also includes 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Marie was passionate about spending time at their summer home outside of Payson, Arizona. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed crocheting and took up painting later in life. Gardening and spending time with her family were also among her cherished pastimes. Marie was an active member of Saint James Catholic Church.

A Rosary Service will be held on February 12, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at Saint James Roman Catholic Church, located at 401 W Wilson Ave, Coolidge, AZ 85128. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 am, with a reception immediately after in the Church Hall. Marie will be laid to rest at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
