Marjorie Mae Willumsen (Herberg) was born to Peter & Ellen Herberg on September 20, 1925 in St. Peter, Minnesota. She worked for the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1946. During her Navy years in Los Angeles, Marjorie met Leslie Willumsen, and after three months they were married on June 29, 1946. Les & Marjorie moved to the family farm in Dagmar, Montana where they raised their four daughters. A church convention was held at their farm for over 50 years, and was Les & Marjorie’s focus and priority. Marjorie was made conscious of serving the Lord in her childhood years and remained faithful to that choice throughout her lifetime. Her sweet spirit and faithful life have been a strength and deep encouragement to her daughters, her sons-in-law, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and many others who she so kindly loved and cared for.
Marjorie is survived by her four daughters, Marcia (Jack) Cahill of Prescott, AZ, Joan (Karlan) Zahorka of Mesa, AZ, Barbara (Ronnie) Wright of Roberts, MT, Susan (Merton) Musser of Billings, MT; one brother, James Herberg of Centre Hall, PA; one sister Jane Jacobsen of Raymond, MT; seven grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Leslie, her parents, and two sisters, Helen Johnson and Rosemary Morgan.
A memorial service for Marjorie will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, followed by a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
