Muriel Powell

Muriel was born in New York City on February 26, 1937 to parents Ivory and Elvira (Brown) Green.

After graduating high school, Muriel went on to work as a cosmetologist, as well as other careers, at the Port of Authority, Post Office, Secretary, Dentist's office and more. She was an intelligent and hard working woman.

Muriel had a passion for many things including crafts, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and singing.

Muriel was married to Manuel Powell prior to him passing away in 2006.

Muriel is survived and missed by her children Theresa Rebecca Powell, Darren Powell, Muriel Powell and Quinn Deveroux Powell; grandchildren Magdalena Truitt, Justin Truitt, Wendy Powell, Ivory Powell, and Camron Powell; and her great-grandchildren Alena Truitt, Champion Truitt and Kalimaa Truitt.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Manuel Powell.

A visitation for Muriel will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A graveside service will occur Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
