He owned and operated both businesses while raising their successful children. After his children became adults later in life, Ushaben passed away and Navin found companionship with Meenaxi Mandalaywala. Navin loved his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren Alia, Devin and Devina knew him as “dada.” Dada’s house was always fun and he always spoiled them with treats and pool time. He entertained them with funny faces, stories, games, and trips to the park. Out of all his grandchildren, Navin provided extra care for Alia after school by taking her to soccer games, football practice and swimming practice. Navin always taught his children and grandchildren to treat people well, and to focus on academics as he believed that it lead to success and freedom. Navin will be vigorously loved and missed. He is survived by his son Bhavin Patel, his grand daughter Alia; his daughter Bhavita Patel Cooley and his son-in-law Timon Cooley, his grand children Devin, and Devina; his youngest brother Raju Patel, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
