

Philip Epstein, 93, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on Friday, May 6th, 2016. He was the Bridge Engineer for Maricopa County, Arizona, and was responsible for the inspection, evaluation and certification of over 240 bridges maintained by the Maricopa County Department of Transportation.
Mr. Epstein was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 1st Infantry Division in Germany. He was active in many veterans groups and a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS, and the Jewish War Veterans
He was a graduate of Cooper Union, NY, as Civil Engineer; and a Registered Professional Engineer in Michigan and Arizona.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy, and son-in-law Richard Seidel (Chicago, IL); son Robert and daughter-in-law Sandy of Mesa, Arizona and three grand-children, Michelle Epstein Cooke of Spokane, Washington; David Epstein of Mesa, Arizona; and Julian Seidel of Los Angeles, California; and great grandchildren, Alexander Cooke and Vivian Epstein.
His wife Mary Frances Epstein died in 1997.
Internment will be graveside at the Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, Arizona on Thursday, May 12th, at 9:00am.
