Shannon Lake Estes

Shannon Lake Estes, 63, of Phoenix AZ, passed away on May 15, 2015. Shannon grew up in Memphis TN. He met Helen, his wife and the love of his life, on a trip to Phoenix. They soon married and recently celebrated their 40th anniversary together. His faith was a central part of his life. Shannon served as an Elder at Desert View Bible Church. He was a facilitator for Desert Views' Faith Membership class and active in the Along Side Prison Ministry. He was a realtor and part of the Rounds Team at ReMax Fine Properties. Shannon enjoyed family, friends, golf, and fishing, especially bream fishing in the south, a family tradition since his childhood. He served as an Intelligence Specialist in the United States Navy aboard the USS Saratoga. Shannon was preceded by his parents, Dot and Joe Estes, his sister, Susan, and son Todd. He is survived by his wife, Helen; brothers Terry (Marsha), Robert (Denise), Russell (Cheryl); sister in law Pat (Leonard); brother in law Marshall and a large number of cousins, nieces, and, nephews that he loved. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Shannon's name may be given to the Along Side Ministry and Desert View Bible Church. Celebration of Shannon's Life will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Desert View Bible Church, 105 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix AZ 85086.
