Sherrie Andersen Tompkins

Sherrie Andersen Tompkins, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with our Lord on February 17th, 2022. Sherrie was born on July 30, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. On May 26, 1975 she married her beloved husband Roy Kenneth Tompkins and they enjoyed raising 5 kids before his passing on December 27, 1994. A loyal member of St. Daniel’s Church, Sherrie had a passion for singing at mass each Sunday. She is survived by her 5 children: Christian Andersen (Claudia), Rory Tompkins, McKenzie Tompkins, Sean Tompkins (Wendy), Kathy-Brie Tompkins Ramirez (Jason), 9 grandchildren: Christin Andersen, Seantiana Tompkins, Sara Tompkins, Isabella Figueroa Tompkins, Sean Tompkins Jr., Katlynne Ramirez, Coroline Andersen, Casey Andersen, Kylie Ramirez; 1 great grandchild: Keira Shrubs and sister: Kandie Byrd ElFeldt.

In addition to lovingly raising and guiding her own children for the duration of her life, Sherrie was instrumental in the care and upbringing of her grandchildren, great nieces, and great grandchild. She will always be remembered for her sharp mind, kind heart and sense of humor.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Daniel's the Prophet in Scottsdale on Friday, February 25th at 11:30 AM with burial to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.greenacresmortuary.net for the Tompkins family.
