Teresa Jayne Colter

Teresa Jayne Colter, age 55, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Phoenix at her mother’s home. She stayed tough throughout her battle with both kidney failure and cancer. Teresa was born on July 26, 1961 in Schenectady, New York. She was the second of four children born to Gene and Jayne Colter. Teresa spent part of her life in Las Vegas, with a successful career in events and hospitality. She was such a proud mother to her daughter, Jennifer Cooper of Oklahoma. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Gene Colter and her brother, Christopher Colter. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Cooper; mother, Jayne Colter; brother, Edward (Kathy) Colter; sister, Michelle (Andrew) Peters; and nieces and nephews, Amanda, Jason, Christine, and Ian. Teresa also leaves to cherish her memory her loving dog, Chloe as well as numerous extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11 am at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
