Tribute to my mother,

The beautiful memories of the past are never vague
The hurts are forgiven but the cherished moments are stayed
What we have today is what there is forever
And those are the memories of all we have to hold on to

In our mind we remember a face - one of beauty 
One with rarely a frown
And almost always a cheerful smile

Never a harsh word - just kind and loving cares
We hear her voice as she says kind words to all who she knew
The words were always soft and sweet
And they were who she was
We will forever hear her say Con an com di soft and gentle was her voice

In the air we breathe 
We know she is there
To guide and protect all who she loved
We will forever be grateful
We were born through her to love
We are now who she was

Grandma was a wonderful woman, a caring mother, and a loving grandmother. Her selflessness was truly admirable. She left from Vietnam to the US, leaving behind her current life at home in exchange for opportunities for her children. Her husband passed away while her children were still in their teens, so she had to take care of them by herself for quite a long time. She herself witnessed how difficult this would be when her own mother passed away when she was a teenager, so she gave her best effort to give her children a better experience than she had.

Grandma was a wonderful woman, a caring mother, and a loving grandmother. Her selflessness was truly admirable. She left from Vietnam to the US, leaving behind her current life at home in exchange for opportunities for her children. Her husband passed away while her children were still in their teens, so she had to take care of them by herself for quite a long time. She herself witnessed how difficult this would be when her own mother passed away when she was a teenager, so she gave her best effort to give her children a better experience than she had. 
After she moved to the US, she settled down in a small house in Arizona where her children also lived. As a grandmother, she always would show affection and caring towards her grandchildren, putting them first before herself. I remember that a smile would always appear on her face when I came over to visit to spend time with her and my relatives. She had a certain charisma about her, and was liked by everyone. She was almost always in a cheerful mood, which gave her a bright aura.
For about the last seven years, Grandma has been going through a very difficult time in her life. She had a stroke which left her heart in a serious condition, and affected her ability to think and communicate with us, her family. However, she did not let this completely disable her, and used her best efforts to stay strong. I believe that she did this not only because of her strong will, but out of her immense love for us. We give our gratitude to the medical staff who helped her during these hard years.
Her children have spent a long time caring for her, to the best of their abilities throughout the years that she could not do so for herself. This effort that they put forth only makes up a fraction of what she, by herself, did for all of them, but it definitely did not go unnoticed by her. She understands how much they loved and cared for her, and I'm sure she appreciates every moment that they spent with her. We stuck by her until the very end, and knowing that, we're sure that she passed in peace, in the loving arms of her family.
