Ty John Renkema

Ty Renkema, of Laveen AZ, passed away on August 6th, 2018. He was born in Phoenix, AZ on May 29, 1962 to John and Elaine Renkema. Ty is survived by his brother James D. Renkema, sister Teri R. Ward and his 4 nephews: Brian J. Ward, Antony Renkema, Brandon McAllister and Ryan McAllister. During Ty's life he worked as a master transmission mechanic at Automatic Transmission Exchange and was also a co-owner of The Automotive Center in Phoenix, AZ. His passion for vehicles started when he was a young man, when he and his father custom built an orange 1977 4 wheel drive Datsun. Known as "Ty's Toy", he still owns it to this day. Just like his father, he too had a passion for the Model T Ford. In may, Ty and his brother Jim drove across country; where Ty finally bought his dream car, a 1923 Ford Bucket T Roadster. Ty's philosophy was live a simple life, be happy and cherish your friends and family. In Ty's honor, a visitation at Green Acres Chapel of Light (401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85257) will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 9:00am, funeral services at 9:30am followed by a graveside service.
