Dear Terry,Teresa,Greg and Laura we were very saddened by the news of Vince's death.We heard he was in hospital but his death came as a shock.
We will always have fond memories of you both and will remember Vince and you all in our prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss.   I too know the loss of a father, but I also know there are few things I don't know.  All loses are unique as the person we have loved, and Vinny was certainly unique.  He had a big, warm-hearted presence and booming voice I will never forget!  What you know of him is so special, and so personal, there is no complete way of sympathizing your loss.  But this I know: now you must carry him in your heart, and listen to the voice of your father, and in a way, be your own inner-father, here on earth.  Blessings be to God our Creator to whom we all return.

I shared with your mom over the phone my fond memory of my "first" ride in a convertible, with your dad..i was so excited (only 5 or 6 years old :) We only drove around the block, but, it was so exciting..and I can vividly see his beautiful blue eyes and wonderful smile :) May your memories bring you comfort in the days to come..Heaven's light shines a little brighter today..      I am saddened for your loss of Vinny. My mom Alane, has always spoken so highly of him and meeting both you a few years ago cemented the sweet things she has said. I know nothing can be said to ease your pain, but he's looking down smiling on you and you will see him again one day... You are in my prayers.

Dear Terry, Teresa, Greg & Laura,
We are all so sorry and sadden at the passing of Vince. Although I spoke with you quite often. We always though he would get home. Many years ago when you were building the House in Albany aunt Liz and Uncle Pat took me up there. You always made time for me. Vince was so proud of that house and the Steam room, you would take me and all the kids to swim in the lake.
We enjoyed your visits to England and Ireland and best of all was our holiday with you in Arizona and going up to Sadona. Even as St Patrick's Day was over he had the Irish Flag out in front of the house to welcome us. He cooked us Beef and cabbage and baked a soda cake from his mother's recipe. We are so glad to have seen you and Vince 18 months ago when you visited us in the UK.
We had booked to go and spend St Patricks Day with you and Vince this year but God's plans was different. We will now visit his resting place on St Patricks Day. 
  Our thoughts are with you all at this time.

Dear Terry and Talbot family,
I was extremely saddened by the news of my godfather Vincent's passing.  My mother, Margret Maddalon (Maxwell), was very shaken by the news.  I did not know Vincent all that well growing up, but he was a topic of much of my mother's reminiscing of her youth.   Any time Vincent came up in a discussion, it was always with the brightest of smiles and adoration of their time together.
 My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend some time with him and Terry on two visits to Arizona a few years back and the second of which we brought along my mother.  Despite all of the years that had passed, Vincent and Terry made us feel as if there never was any lapse.  My mother, my wife and myself wil never forget it.
He was a great man and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Terry, Teresa, Greg, and Laura,

We are very sorry for the loss of you dear husband and father, Vincent.  It has been a hard time for you living through his long post-surgical troubles, and it is merciful that he went quickly at the end.  However, that is no comfort for the fact that he is no longer there with you.
 We have not seen as much of Vincent and you the family in recent years as we would have liked because of the distance factor. Vincent's parents,Uncle Pat and Aunt Liz to us, were very close and we remember them with much love and affection.  Shortly after meeting me (Marguerite) for the first time, Aunt Liz somehow figured out that she and my mother had shared a hospital room when Vincent and I were born (3 days apart).  She remembered that my mother was sad because my father had died of a brain tumor during her pregrancy, but that my mother had a pink ribbon in my hair.  She and Uncle Pat were very special people.  We are sure that you have very special remembrances of your times with Vincent!
I (Gerry) remember that Uncle Pat loved coffee, as I do, and he would ask me to make a pot when he came to visit.  He would tell me to be sure to put in a dash of salt on top of the coffee grounds.  I don't know if it makes a difference, but when asked why I do it, I say "It's the Uncle Pat memorial."
When Sister Katherine died, we were surprised and very pleased that Vincent came up to her funeral. Sadly, that was the last time we saw him.

We are shocked to hear about the passing of Vince. Mom and I were just saying how nice it was to see the girls this past summer and to hear how well you both were.
