

William (Bill) J. Buchmann, an extraordinary man, left us on June 8, 2016. Bill was born Auugust 18, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to William H. and Erna nee Tremmel. After graduating from high school in Avon Lake, Ohio, Bill joined the U.S. Navy and was subsequently stationed at San Diego Naval Yards where he met friends from Phoenix. Thus came his love for Arizona and his move to Phoenix after leaving the service. Bill was an Exceptional human being with a gregarious outlook that brought him many friends. He was an entrepreneur with ownership in a gas station and an employee and manager of Ugly Duckling Rent a Car. His final contribution to the business world was his employment with Bio-Concepts in Phoenix. Bill had no children but his devotion for many years as a foster parent gave him the love of his foster daughter, Kristie Ray and his foster grandchildren. Bill is survived by his sister, Janet Cokely, his brother Robert, nephews Matthew Cokely, Michael Cokely, Ronald Mahone, nieces, Christine Cokely, Amy Hughs and grand nephew Timothy Cokely. Private cremation will be at Green Acres, Scottsdale. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
