Alberto Dacanay Ramos

Alberto Dacanay Ramos was born on November 20, 1954 in Lingayen, Mabini, Philippines. Alberto, age 65 passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. He was the fifth child out of 11. He loved to go to school. He supported himself to finish his Degree by working during the day and went to school at night. He attended College at National University Manila, Philippines and graduated with Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering on November 4, 1981.

In the year of 1975, he met his future wife, Elsa Tomas and had three kids, Jennifer, Jocelyn, and Jonathan. Alberto came to America on February 4, 1983 and his family followed years later.

Alberto worked weeks after coming to America, he landed his first job at Denny's Restaurant as a busboy. He had few jobs years later and started working for Perkins and Son Plumbing Company for more than two decades, he started as an apprentice and became a Journeyman Plumber after completing the licensure exam. When the company closed down, Alberto landed a job with Ocean Park Mechanical for 13 years as a building and residential plumber. He would work on construction projects of all sizes from multifamily to multiple tower high-rise sites. He was a master craftsman of his trade.

He adored and loved his family and children. He loved to take long family drive to see the natural beauty of places like Canada, Oregon, California, Las Vegas, Philippines to name a few. In his spare time consist of gardening, travel to many fun destinations, bowling, helping his siblings with home projects, and he especially loved spending time with his family including his grandchildren, Michaela, Mackenzie, Manolo, and Isabella and his great-grand child, Autumn.

He will forever be remembered for his kind heart, his generosity, his hospitality, his welcoming smile, his approachable personality, and his positive attitude that could be felt by anyone in the room. He was a loving and caring person, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and co-worker. He provided unconditional love and support to his family. His legacy will be carried on to those he touched.

A visitation for Alberto will be held Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Acacia Funeral Home, Seattle, Washington. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM, Seattle, Washington. An entombment will occur Friday, July 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Acacia Memorial Park, Seattle, Washington. A reception will occur Friday, July 24, 2020 at 1:30 PM, Seattle, Washington.
