I love you so much Grandma. There isn’t a day that does by that I don’t think of you. Your laugh. Your smile. The way you loved us. I miss you much I know you’re with me always. I can’t wait to see again 💜 rest peacefully queen 👑 

Although we never developed  a close relationship the only memory I have is when you came and picked me up as a little girl and took me to Long Acres.
Our distance grew further apart after my Dad Robert passed.
I’m glad I was able to speak to you before the Angels were dispatched.

Very proud moment for my mom her great granddaughter Debutant Ball Mama was her biggest fan❤️

My mother was a strong Black Women she took care of her home and all of her children!!! We never went without, Lights, food , clothes or shelter. If my parents where struggling we didn’t feel the struggle!! Mama I miss you so much❤️

Mama, I love you and will cherish ALL the memories we shared, My Kids your Great Grands still say your baked Mac and cheese got me beat, Lol but we Love and miss you, Shan and Family

You have always been my favorite not only because you’re the only grandmother I have ever known but because God blessed me with the gift of sharing a birthday with you. I remember MIP, and the rib sticking food  she would make,  when i stayed the night at  there house. When i would tell her i was full she would say eat some more cause baby your small as a switch . She was well Loved  and will truly  be missed. An it is truly a blessing to have the Smiley family and my cousins

Grandma,  
You’re the only grandma I’ve ever known so you’ve always held a special place in my heart. Some of my happiest memories are coming to your house on Sundays after church where you would let me run wild and spoil me with pound cake. I also remember that time when we had to live with you and it didn’t feel strange. It felt like home.  I also think it’s hilarious that you gave me socks 5 Christmas’s in a row. Hahaha I’m going to miss you so much granny. I remember being in high school playing in a big time football game on Friday night. I glanced into the crowd and there you were in the 5th row tuned in to what was going on. You even told me after the game “I enjoyed watching you play endure, I needed to see if you were as good as they say for myself and baby you are” ❤️❤️❤️ That was everything to me. Our phone calls about the Sonics back in the day or the mariners and how they’ve stunk for the last 20 years will never be forgotten. You were the glue that kept all the smileys together, no matter what was going on amongst the family your house was all the safe house. Leave all crap at the door and let’s love one another. I’ll do my best to keep that alive. There’s so much more to say but for now I’ll just leave you with this..
You did everything you could and needed to on this earth. Job well done!

Mrs Smiley was such a sweet, kind, loving and generous woman to me.  She had a warm and gentle smile and always made me laugh. She said what she meant and meant what she said. She wasn't about no foolery. She was real real all the way to the bone. I love me some Mrs. Smiley and those amazingly delectable pound cakes she made.  I will miss her much.

I lived across the street from Ms Smiley so ive known the family just about all my life met tgem through my morther and father George and Callie benton which my farther and MS Smilys son Kenny Ray became the best of friends. We were just like family as far as I'm concerned we are family I love them with all my Hart I'm sure going to miss our little talks we use have and I remember the park day's that me you and Netta use to do gone but never forgotten Rest in paradise MS smiley no more pain or suffering Netta I love you guy's so sorry for y'alls lost I know what your going and God will y'all through this. Amen!

Mother Smiley, Alliana & my son Andre’ all share the same birthday day!  I’ve known Mother Smiley most of my 60 years.  When I and Brenda were young gurls she’d was this towering figure of a woman you didn’t play with, yet she had a sweet gentle smile that said she cared for you and she was watching you...in love 💕 She made it clear chores were to be done before Brenda got out into those streets.  Mother Smiley worked hard, loved her family mightily.  I can remember when she ‘d go and come off her favorite pass times, “the races”, strictly business!  Lol.  As I matured and had occasion to speak with her, our conversations were more personal, she had let me into her circle.  I even more so understood just how much she loved all of her children (each in a unique way) and grands.  She wanted the best for you all.  She toiled through the struggles and joys of having a large family.  Too whom much is given...much is required! It is not a cliche when I write, they don’t make ‘em like Mama Smiley no mo!”   I’ll always treasure her memory, chuckle to myself about some and give God glory for answering her prayers.  I’m better for having known such a beautiful, loving woman.  My thoughts and prayer are with you my dearest friend Brenda and family...mama’s gone, but the love never does go. My memory of you is that you loved me uncondotionaly you were always there for me it's hard to put in to word I miss you mom.

Mama I am going to miss the times we laughed together. I never understood the importance of a Mother’s love until the day God took you home. I am grateful for all the hard work you poured into me when I was hard headed . I am grateful for you taking care of my grandchildren when I could not. I am glad God allowed you a chance to see me free from bondage. You will forever be missed until we see each other again❤️
