Connie was born on April 25, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to David and Ethel Simms. She passed away on January 16, 2015 in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 79, from complications of diabetes and the flu.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Milton Walker in 2004.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Walker of Mill Creek, WA, and Melvin Walker of Pleasanton, CA and grandchildren, Ashlie, James and Alexander, sister Barbara (husband Tony) Rego of Citrus Heights, CA, sister Dorothy Chandler of Bellevue, WA, and brother, David Simms of Bellingham, WA.
She grew up in Seattle and graduated from Ballard High School. She loved teaching and taught in the Shoreline School District for many years. She was a proud Girl Scout, BYU Graduate, and longtime member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved music. She played the French Horn. She sang in choirs and often directed them.
She was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her gentle manner, loving encouragement, and sweet smile will long be remembered. She will be greatly missed.
