She was born January 28, 1936, in Brookfield, IL to Peter and Maude Strobl.
Liz graduated from High School in 1953.
She married Dan E Fye in 1957. They later divorced. Liz said even as a child she knew that she would have four children, and she did. After the youngest started school, she returned to finish her education at the University of Washington. In 1977 she graduated with a BA in Graphic Design.
She was an artist well versed in many mediums including mask making, pattern design, paper automata and graphic design. Her graphic design education preceded computers, so she became self-taught and prolific in drawing with a computer. She volunteered all her life and in her later years provided design and graphic work to many community groups.
She loved animals and always had some sort of menagerie; cats, dogs and many others.
She leaves behind her children Maryn Wynne (Chris), Ryan Fye (Ann), Murray Fye (Nancy), Karl Fye (Linda), grandson Jeremy Wynne, Zoey the rescue pup and Maggie the cat.
Preceded in death by her parents, her brother Pete Strobl, and granddaughter Jenny Wynne.
Celebration of Life is November 2 at the Shoreline Senior Center at 4 pm.
Donations in her memory can be made to Shoreline/Lake Forest Park Senior Activity Center
