Born December 3 1925 to Ferris and Ida Gibbs in Seattle Wa., passed peacefully in her sleep on May 22, 2013 in Edmonds Wa. Faye graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle Wa. before being united in marriage to Max Hanft in 1945 and moving to Nicholes Iowa where she started raising her family. Faye returned to Seattle in 1955 and began a long career at Viewlands Ice Creamery in Greenwood where she was affectionatly known to everyone as the Ice Cream Lady. Faye was a member of both the Doric and Occidental chapters of the Eastern Star where she spent a lifetime in service to others. Faye was preceeded in death by her parents, sister Sara Dimitrenko and brothers Lyle and Dean Gibbs. She is survived by her daughter Terrie Nelson, son Mark Hanft, grandsons Scott Nelson and Kane Hanft and great grandson Parker Hanft. The family would like to thank the entire staff especially the nurses at Swedish Hospital Edmonds for the wonderful care she received there.
