Gale DuKane was born October 3rd, 1958 in Orange, California to Joan Erickson and Dale Fleming. She graduated from Shorecrest High School in 1977. Her passion was running, as she was both an honors student and varsity athlete. She attended the University of Washington and received her Bachelor’s Degree and teaching certificate from Griffin Business College in 1980. Upon graduation she accepted position as an executive assistant.
Gale met and married Michael DuKane in the fall of 1982. Soon after their marriage, Michael and Gale, together, pioneered the foreground background music business in the basement of their three-bedroom home. After the birth of their daughter Natalie in 1985, Gale took on the role of mother and homemaker. Gale was a proactive and involved mother for 18 years while she supported her husband through the success and sale of their company, Sight & Sound Entertainment.
In 2007 Gale ventured on her own, holding a position at Pitney Bowes in Redmond, Washington. She met Thomas Wynne later that year. Gale and Tom enjoyed attending sporting events, going on walks and visiting with family.
For Gale, everyday spent in the sun was a holiday. She had an impeccable sense of style that could stop a room. Her bright smile and undeniable laugh brought light and happiness to everyone around her. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed by all those she loved and who loved her.
Gale DuKane is survived by her mother Joan Zimmerman; brothers Dale Fleming and Troy Fleming; sister Dolores Fleming; and her daughter Natalie DuKane.
